To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the Meeting of the Cabinet held on 18 September 2024 for signature by the Chair.

To note the following Minutes of meetings of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Select Committees:

Community Select Committee – 9 September 2024

Environment and Economy Select Committee – 16 September 2024

Overview and Scrutiny Committee – 24 September 2024

To provide Members with an overview of changes to four adopted Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) and to seek Members’ approval to consult on revisions to three SPDs and for the revocation of one SPD.

To provide Members with an overview of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

To provide Cabinet with an overview of the action that Stevenage Borough Council is taking to address climate change.

To seek Cabinet approval of Fees and Charges 2025/26 for the General Fund and for the Housing Revenue Account.

To consider any Part 1 Business accepted by the Chair as urgent.

To consider the following motions –

1.  That under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as described in paragraphs1 – 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act as amended by Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

2.  That Members consider the reasons for the following reports being in Part II and determine whether or not maintaining the exemption from disclosure of the information contained therein outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

To set out a proposed future delivery model for works to empty properties (voids) including an update on the implementation of improvement plans developed following independent expert reviews and scrutiny reviews of voids and repairs services carried out by the Community Select Committee.

To provide an update on the major Project – Brent Court Garages.

To provide a Council Housing Development programme update and to seek necessary scheme specific approvals.

The report provides a programme wide update across the Government’s Towns Fund programme being delivered by Stevenage Borough Council and Stevenage Development Board partners.

To consider any Part II business accepted by the Chair as Urgent.
