To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of the Cabinet held on 9 July 2025 for signature by the Chair.

To note the following minutes of the Overview and Scrutiny and Select Committees:

Environment and Economy Select Committee – 11 June 2025

Community Select Committee – 3 July 2025

Overview and Scrutiny Committee – 15 July 2025

To update Members on the General Fund Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).

To update Members on the projected General Fund (GF), Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and Capital 2025/26 net expenditure and seek approval to amend the General Fund, HRA and Capital budgets as part of the quarterly revenue monitoring review.

To note the Annual Treasury Management Report for 2024/25 and to approve the actual 2024/25 prudential and treasury indicators in this report.

To receive a report highlighting the Council’s performance across key priorities and projects for Quarter 1 2025/26 and providing an update on progress against current strategic risks.

To consider proposals to revoke the taxi rank on Danestrete, Stevenage as required under Section 63 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

To provide an update to Cabinet on the Council’s response to the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire.

To consider any Part 1 business accepted by the Chair as urgent.

To consider the following motions –

1.  That under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as described in paragraphs1 – 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act as amended by Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

2.  That Members consider the reasons for the following reports being in Part II and determine whether or not maintaining the exemption from disclosure of the information contained therein outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

To approve as a correct record the Part II section of the Minutes of the meeting of the Cabinet held on 9 July 2025.

To seek approval for the award of a new contract for the completion of energy efficiency and decarbonisation works to the Council’s housing stock.

To consider writing off Council Tax debt deemed irrecoverable which is properly due to the Council and is more than £10,000.

To consider any Part II business accepted by the Chair as urgent.
