APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Decision:

Election of Vice-Chair

 

It was moved by Councillor Michael Downing and seconded by Councillor Sandra Barr that Councillor Adrian Brown be appointed as Vice-Chair of the Committee for municipal year 2022/23. After being put to the meeting and a vote taken, the motion was declared carried.

 

There were no apologies for absence.

 

Councillor Chris Howells declared an interest on item 3 of the agenda. He did not take part in the debate and not voted on the item.

To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the previous meeting held on Tuesday 5 April 2022.

Decision:

It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Planning and Development Committee held on Tuesday 5 April 2022 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Unauthorised use of the property as a House of Multiple Occupation (HMO); unauthorised erection of bollards on SBC land; flytipping; unauthorised erection of outbuildings and front extensions.

Decision:

It was RESOLVED that an enforcement notice be issued and served subject to conditions as per the recommendations set out in the report, and an amendment to the condition relating to the notice period as follows:

 

·       An enforcement notice must be served within three months.

An enforcement notice be issued and served by the Assistant Director of Planning and Regulation and subject to an appointed solicitor by the Council being satisfied.

To consider the following motions that:

 

1.    Under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as described in paragraphs 1-7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act as amended by Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006.

 

2.    That Members consider the reasons for the following reports (if any)being in Part II and determine whether or not maintaining the exemption from disclosure of the information contained therein outweighs the public interest in disclosure.
