To advise of decision(s) taken by the Cabinet in accordance with the Special Urgency provisions of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012.
Minutes:
The Council considered a report in respect of the decision(s) taken by the Cabinet in accordance with the Special Urgency provisions of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012.
The Monitoring Officer reported that, in accordance with the Overview and Scrutiny Procedure Rules, where the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee had agreed to waive call-in on grounds of urgency, the decision must be reported to the next available meeting of Council together with the reasons for urgency. Members were advised that call-in had been waived in this instance due to the requirement for Hertfordshire authorities to submit a single collective response to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) within a prescribed timescale.
It was then moved by Councillor Richard Henry, and seconded by Councillor Ellie Plater, that the Recommendations in the report be approved.
Upon the motion being put to the vote, it was RESOLVED that the report be noted.
