Business: Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Councillors S. Batson, CC, R.A. Clark, M. Downing, CC, T.G.M. Kent, CC, M. Notley, G. Snell, A.T. Turner and K. Vale.

Apolgoies for absence were also submitted on behalf of Councillors L. Knight, JP, C. Latif, J. Lloyd, CC and B.G. Underwood, all of whom were SHL Board Members and had been advised that it would not be appropriate to be present for the item to be considered.

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

Status: Agreed

Business:

Decision: It was RESOLVED that under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likley disclosure of exempt information as described in paragraphs 1-7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and it was agreed that Cathy de Plessis and Jo Barrett from Stevenage Homes Ltd should be allowed to remain.

UPDATE ON THE HOUSING DECENT HOMES PROGRAMME AND LETTING OF ASSOCIATED MAJOR WORKS CAPITAL CONTRACTS

Status: Agreed

Business: The Council considered a report on progress with the Decent Homes Programme which recommended the contractors, selected through the tender evaluation process for each internal works package, for award of a Major Works contract to deliver the internal works elements of Decent Homes.

Scott Crudgington, Strategic Director (Finance) referred to the background to the report and confirmed that further updates would be submitted to the Executive.

He drew attention to paragraph 5.3.1 of the report which should have read 'these contracts have been tendered' instead of these contracts have been let'.

Decision: It was RESOLVED that:-

1. The updated position on the Decent Homes Programme be noted.

2. Recommendations 2.2 - 2.10 inclusive as contained in the report be approved.
